Double Hill: Treetops to Summit
MacRitchie TreeTop Walk & Bukit Timah Hill
Two hills, two rainforests, one morning. Start at MacRitchie, where forest trails lead to the TreeTop Walk, a 250m suspension bridge strung between Bukit Peirce and Bukit Kalang with views over the forest canopy. Then head to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, one of Singapore’s oldest and richest rainforests, and climb to the summit of Bukit Timah Hill, at 163.63 metres the island’s highest natural point. Along the way, your guide points out the plants and wildlife of the forest and shares the stories behind these green spaces in the middle of the city. The 10km trail ends at Bukit Timah Market & Food Centre, where every finisher gets a bowl of Original Chendol on us and a custom-made medal to show for the hike. Stay on for a local meal if you like, at your own expense.
